
Executive Vice President of Operations
In 2004, Tim came to Great Wolf Resorts from Six Flags theme parks with 18 years of Senior Operations Leadership experience. He is responsible for Operations of all Great Wolf Resorts properties. Tim’s thorough understanding of the theme park and waterpark industry has made him Great Wolf Resorts team operational leader. His hands on leadership approach values People as a key asset to our company.
Regional Vice President of Operations
Scott, a veteran of Six Flags, brings 17 years of experience managing theme parks, waterparks and resorts in Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. He began at Great Wolf Resorts in 2007 as General Manager for the flagship Wisconsin Dells property. He was promoted to Regional Vice President of Operations in 2009.
Regional Vice President of Operations
Derrek, an alumni of Hyatt Hotels and Resorts (Columbus, Washington DC, Philadelphia), began his career with Great Wolf Resorts in 2001. He started in Sandusky as Director of Guest Services and was eventually promoted to General Manager. He then moved to Grand Mound, WA in 2007 to open the 398 suite property as General Manager. Derrek’s education and expertise in amusement parks and the hotel industry makes him a perfect fit as Regional Vice President of Operations.
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Julie comes to Great Wolf Resorts with an impressive list of credentials having started her career with Cedar Point. She joined Great Wolf Resorts in 2000 as Director of Sales and Marketing at Great Wolf Lodge Sandusky. Julie specializes in team integration and execution of targeted and broad based marketing initiatives from group sales, communications, advertising in online, offline and social media platforms, plus promotional and partnership driven efforts. Her passion for the ‘hospitainment’ industry with nearly 30 years of work experience, dedication and loyalty to the organization makes her a strong team player.
Vice President of Brand
Melissa began her career with Great Wolf Resorts as Assistant General Manager in 1997 at the Great Wolf Lodge in WI Dells, WI. Melissa has seen the organization grow from 100 pack members to over 5,000 today. She has had the opportunity to participate in the opening of all 12 of the resorts. As Vice President of Brand, Melissa oversees Human Resources, Brand Experience and Purchasing. “Every interaction that our pack members have with the guest determines what our guest’s perception is of Great Wolf Lodge. By defining our culture and ensuring that all pack members understand the Great Wolf Lodge culture we lay the foundation to building a premier family entertainment brand.”
Vice President of Merchandising
Val has twenty years experience in the entertainment, tourism field with direct responsibilities over gift shop, spa and attraction operations. She joined Great Wolf Resorts in 2000 as Lodge Retail Director, Corporate Director of Retail Service and finally as Vice President of Merchandising. She is responsible for the management and development of all retail and entertainment venues, including operations, purchasing, profitability and staff development. Her strengths include a strong leadership style, ability to make great decisions, vendor negotiating and purchasing.
Vice President of Development
Patrick has served as Vice President of Development at Great Wolf Resorts since 2005. He has over twenty years of development experience. Patrick has been responsible for the development and execution of construction projects utilizing a variety of project delivery systems. He is versed in all aspects of the development process from site identification through certificate of occupancy. A licensed attorney, Patrick has experience in complex negotiations involving financial transactions, including tax treatment, equity investments, commercial lending, collaborative relationships and public/private partnerships. He is extraordinarily talented at identifying and developing new business opportunities, negotiating favorable options and securing approvals with governmental agencies and interested groups.
Senior Director of Engineering and Construction
Rodney joined Great Wolf Resorts in 2000 as Construction Manager. Rodney arrived with 21 years of hotel and retail development and construction experience. In 2006, Rodney was promoted to Senior Director of Design and Construction. Rodney’s strong construction management skills and understanding of the development process make him a great resource in developing new projects as well as maintaining existing Great Wolf Lodges.
Vice President of Business Development
Nikki brings over 18 years of sales, marketing and business development experience in the entertainment industry to Great Wolf Resorts. As Vice President of Business Development, she is responsible for licensing and management opportunities for the Great Wolf Lodge brand. Her expertise in strategic planning, brand extensions and partnership marketing play an important role in managing the expansion and growth of the company’s proprietary brands and amenities.
